Exchange of Numerous Project Partners in the SuperC

On Wednesday, June 29, 2022, the first milestone meeting of the Human Factors Competence Center for Employment in Industry 4.0, AKzentE4.0 for short, took place in the SuperC at RWTH Aachen University.  Numerous project partners took the opportunity to inform themselves about the current status of the individual work packages and to exchange ideas. Among other things, a needs assessment on Industry 4.0 technologies and possible transfer instruments of the competence center was presented to the companies and crafts businesses in the region. Through the establishment of working groups, the work on initial exemplary implementations at the application partners within the consortium projects is about to begin. The first successful steps for the implementation of the planned mixed reality model factory could already be tried out live on a demonstrator. In future and in addition to various events to inform the interested public, the networking of companies in the region is to be promoted above all in order to achieve an exchange of experience on the way to the human-friendly use of AI and digitalization tools in regional companies in the manufacturing industry and in the craft.

This research and development project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) under the funding measure "Future of Work: Regional Competence Centers of Labor Research. Designing new forms of work through artificial intelligence" in the program "Innovations for tomorrow's production, services and work" (funding code: 02L19C400) and supervised by the Project Management Agency Karlsruhe (PTKA).
