Education, Training and Apprenticeship Concepts for Technical Domains in Craft and Industry

The TVET Department develops, tests, and evaluates training and education concepts for skilled work in technical vocations.

Starting from comprehensive empirical studies of skilled work that document and describe for instance work activities. In addition, either expertise and competence assessment development or application are part of most concepts in order to evaluate the concepts.

Most of the designed didactic concepts for formal and organized learning processes as well as for informal learning processes refer to situated, workplace- or work-based learning theories. Didactic and methodological key elements such as occupational problems in work action embed in the learning processes in order to gain competences on reflective actions.

The didactic concepts often apply digital media in various learning contexts.
