Summer Schools at IAW
Ergonomics and Robotics With International Students in Aachen
During the summer period, the IAW once again hosted various summer schools with students from all over the world. New this year: the application of even more interactive concepts through the integration of practical tasks in our IAW workshop.
The production of a simply designed smartphone holder made of sheet metal is to be optimized ergonomically and in the production process. By playing a simulation game in a real illustration room instead of as a pen-and-paper role-playing game, students can better put themselves in the shoes of the people working on the project and experience ergonomic changes directly.
The redesign of the summer schools is part of the learn2act didactics project and serves as a test run for the adaptation of our "Methods for Applied Industrial Engineering and Ergonomics" course this semester.
The project is funded by the Foundation Innovation in University Teaching within the framework of the funding agreement for the promotion of project proposals in the “Freiraum 2022” call for proposals (Funding number: FRFMM-379/2022).
