Designing the Future of Work

On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, our kickoff meeting for the expansion of the Human Factors Competence Center for Employment in Industry 4.0 took place.

On this occasion, the current partners were able to share information about new key topics that will be included in the competence center from now on. In addition, the new project partners Dufter, Elektrotechnik Ell, Oculavis and Schiffer Vakuumtechnik presented themselves and their main topics.

The event took place at our project partner WZL in the Manfred-Weck-Haus of RWTH Aachen University. During a tour of the nearby Demonstration Factory Aachen and a subsequent workshop, research and implementation partners developed ideas for the joint development and testing of innovative AKzentE4.0 use cases.

We would like to express our sincere thanks for the cooperation so far and look forward to further expanding the cooperation in the extended AKzentE4.0 consortium! We would like to continue to expand the network around the competence center in the future in order to promote the exchange of experience on the way to the human-oriented use of AI and digitalization in regional companies in the manufacturing industry and the skilled trades.

This research and development project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) under the funding measure “Future of Work: Regional Competence Centers of Labor Research.
