Work Organization

As an interdisciplinary team, we deal with all questions of work organization as part of our research and transfer activities. In participatory projects with companies of different industries and sizes, we analyze, model, simulate and optimize work processes and structures. In doing so, we try to balance humane, economic and flexibility criteria. In the holistic nature of our approaches, we see an opportunity to contribute to the social and economic sustainability of work. A particular focus is on the analysis, design and evaluation of flexible, cooperative work organizations in which people and technical systems can develop their specific potentials in the best possible way. In contrast to other IAW departments, we view socio-technical work systems in companies from an organizational and thus macroergonomic perspective.
