3rd Consortial Meeting of the KI-LIAS Project
The First Meeting in Presence at the Company Miele on June 22, 2022
For the third consortium meeting in the KI-LIAS project, the company Miele invited the consortium partners, including among other things our colleagues from FIR at RWTH Aachen University and Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering WZL of RWTH Aachen University to Gütersloh. The agenda included some exciting points: a tour through the washing machine production, a keynote speech by the Werkzeugbau Akademie, also known as WBA, on the topic of "Collaboration with AI development partners" and the presentation of the current implementation status of the use cases at the industry partners. It became clear that all companies have parallels – despite of differences in industry and company size – both in terms of hurdles in the introduction of AI-based assistance systems and in the solution approaches. The day ended with a workshop in which previous experiences and future expectations of a participatory development and introduction process of AI-based assistance systems were gathered.
