Kurzfassung One of the most important retail business requirements from the customers’ point of view are favorable prices of goods. Therefore, costs, as fundamental parameters for the selling price, are of substantial importance for the competitiveness of retail businesses. As one large part of the expenses of retail businesses consists in the labor costs, many businesses feel impelled to improve the labor productivity in their stores. Against the background of these findings, presale shelf-stocking has been examined in the framework of a project in a retail business of the construction and home hardware store branch. As a result the article shows the importance of stocking-friendly packaging design as a critical variable in the efficiency of the shelf-stocking process. |
